Job Description

POSITION:                 School Aide/School Monitor-Enrichment “Counselor” and  Substitute School Aide/School Monitor-Enrichment “Counselor” (PT) - East Islip

SITE/BUILIDING:      East Islip UFSD K-5 Buildings

LOCATION:               East Islip, NY

                                    Islip Terrace, NY

HOURS:                     Range between 6:45 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. daily for morning session,

                                   Range between 2:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. daily for afternoon session

                                  Monday - Friday, September - June

   ***  Applicants may apply for either the morning or afternoon session depending on their availability     ***

(Most shifts are one (1) to two (2) hours; additional hours may be available)                                                                       

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist teachers in facilitating the homework/reading period (afternoon session)
• Coordinate and facilitate special activities and projects
• Monitor students to provide adequate supervision and a safe environment in a variety of activities and recreational areas; including following health and safety guidelines outlined by the district
• Provide on-going communication with teachers and ESBOCES School Year Enrichment Director

START DATE:           September 6, 2023

SALARY:                   $18.40/hour (when school is in session)
