POSITION:                                                   Electrical Trade and Alternative Energy Instructor(s) (FT - 10 Month)

SITE/BUILDING:                                          To be determined (Suffolk County, NY)

ASSIGNMENT:                                             Department of Career, Technical and Adult Education

START DATE:                                               September 1, 2024

MINIMUM STARTING SALARY:                  $55,966.00

* Minimum starting salary rates are established per 2023-2024 Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).  2024-2025 compensation rates will follow CBAs when available.

Job Qualifications
  • NYS Electrical 7-12 Certification or eligible for Transitional A Certification
  • For Transitional A Certification pathways please click here
  • 3-5 years industry experience
  • 1-3 years teaching experience
  • Nassau or Suffolk County Licensed Electrician required (or equivalent)
  • Master Electricians interested in teaching young people; we will help you become an educator, and you will be able to take teaching courses as you learn/on the job.  Many of our teachers came from industry and learned how to be a teacher.
  • Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
