SITE/BUILIDING:      Various Elementary Buildings in the East Islip School District

 

LOCATION:               East Islip, NY and Islip Terrace, NY

 

HOURS:                     Monday - Friday ~ September - June (when school is in session)

                                   Range between 6:45 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. daily for morning session

                                    Range between 2:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. daily for afternoon session

   ***  Applicants may apply for either the morning or afternoon session, depending on their availability     ***

(Most shifts are 1-2 hours; additional hours may be available)                                                   

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist teachers in facilitating the homework/reading period
  • Coordinate and facilitate special activities and projects
  • Monitor students to provide adequate supervision and a safe environment in a variety of activities and recreational areas, including following health and safety guidelines outlined by the district
  • Provide on-going communication with teachers and ESBOCES School Year Enrichment Director

 

START DATE:           September 5, 2024

 

SALARY:       $18.04/hour (when school is in session)

SITE/BUILIDING:      Boyle Road Elementary School

Clinton Avenue Elementary School

Norwood Avenue Elementary School

Terryville Elementary School

 

LOCATION:               Port Jefferson Station, NY

 

HOURS:                     Monday - Friday, September - June (when school is in session)

                                   Range between 6:45 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. daily for morning session

                                    Range between 2:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. daily for afternoon session

   ***  Applicants may apply for either the morning or afternoon session, depending on their availability     ***

(Most shifts are two (2) hours; additional hours may be available)                                                   

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist teachers in facilitating the homework/reading period (afternoon session)
  • Coordinate and facilitate special activities and projects
  • Monitor students to provide adequate supervision and a safe environment in a variety of activities and recreational areas, including following health and safety guidelines outlined by the district
  • Provide on-going communication with program teacher and ESBOCES School Year Enrichment Teacher Coordinator
  • May also facilitate weekly clubs or enrichment activities for additional hours (per diem)

 

START DATE:           September 4, 2024

 

SALARY:       $17.00/hour (when school is in session)
