Job Description

POSITION:         Counselors for Comsewogue Summer Fun Program (PT)

ASSIGNMENT:  July 1, 2024 – August 16, 2024

LOCATION:        Comsewogue School District                                   

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reports to Summer Enrichment Director
• Provides support to classroom teachers for students entering grades 1-8
• Leads student groups in structured recreational activities

Important to note that you MUST be in attendance on the following dates:

Orientation:     June 28, 2024

Program:       July 1, 2024 – August 16, 2024

Program closed July 4, 2024 and July 5, 2024

THESE POSITIONS ARE DEPENDENT UPON STUDENT ENROLLMENT AND DISTRICT COMMITMENT FOR SUMMER SERVICES

SALARY:       $17.00/hour

Job Qualifications

• High School graduate
• Ability to create a welcoming and affirming environment for all stakeholders of the school community
• Ability to independently lead student groups in various enrichment activities
• Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
