Job Description

POSITION:           Summer Enrichment Counselor (PT) (Bay Shore, Bayport-Blue Point, Comsewogue, and Connetquot)

ASSIGNMENT:    July 1, 2025 – August 8, 2025 (Bayport-Blue Point and Connetquot)

                             July 1, 2025 – August 15, 2025 (Comsewogue)

                             July 7, 2025 – August 15, 2025 (Bay Shore)

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reports to Summer Enrichment Director
• Provides support to classroom teachers for students entering grades 1-8
• Leads student groups in structured recreational activities

Important to note that you MUST be in attendance on the following dates:

Orientation:     June 30, 2025 (Bayport-Blue Point, Comsewogue, and Connetquot)

                        July 1, 2025 (Bay Shore)

Program:        July 1, 2025 – August 8, 2025* (Bayport-Blue Point and Connetquot)

                        July 1, 2025 – August 15, 2025* (Comsewogue)

   July 7, 2025 – August 15, 2025 (Bay Shore)

*Programs closed July 4, 2025

THESE POSITIONS ARE DEPENDENT UPON STUDENT ENROLLMENT AND DISTRICT COMMITMENT FOR SUMMER SERVICES

SALARY RANGE:       $17.25 - $18.50/hour

Job Qualifications

• High School graduate
• Ability to create a welcoming and affirming environment for all stakeholders of the school community
• Ability to independently lead student groups in various enrichment activities
• Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
