Job Description

POSITION:            Summer Enrichment Lead Teacher (PT) (Bay Shore)

ASSIGNMENT:      Off Season:  ASAP - June 30, 2025

Summer:    July 1, 2025 – August 15, 2025

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises a Summer Enrichment Program with academic classes and recreational activities for students entering grades 1-9
• Observes daily operations of program staff and students to assure a safe learning environment
• Effectively communicates with staff, parents, and students of the program
• Reports to the ESBOCES Summer Enrichment Administrators and keeps them apprised of daily activities
• Oversees, distributes, and monitors supplies and equipment used in the program
• Requires travel and lifting 20-30lb. curriculum materials/supplies

Important to note that you MUST be in attendance on the following dates:

Orientation:       July 1, 2025

Program:         July 7, 2025 – August 15, 2025*

*Program closed July 4, 2025

THESE POSITIONS ARE DEPENDENT UPON STUDENT ENROLLMENT AND DISTRICT COMMITMENT FOR SUMMER SERVICES

START DATE:                 As detailed above

SALARY RANGE:            Off Season:  $31.00/hour

Summer:      $39.50/hour

Job Qualifications

• Appropriate NYS Certification required or Appropriate NYS License required
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience leading other teachers to achieve strong academic results
• Excellent organizational, communication, and facilitation skills
• Ability to create a welcoming and affirming environment for all stakeholders of the school community
• Must be available for both the Off Season and Summer assignments
• Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
