Job Description

POSITION:                 Cosmetology Instructor(s) (FT/PT, FTE based on enrollment, Day)

 

ASSIGNMENT:          Career, Technical and Adult Education

 

SITE/BUILDING:        Harry B. Ward Technical Center, Riverhead, NY

                                    Other ESBOCES sites throughout Suffolk County

 

START DATE:                                   September 1, 2026

 

MINIMUM STARTING SALARY:      $59,861.00*

  * Minimum starting salary rates are established per 2025-2026 Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).  2026-2027 compensation rates will follow CBAs when available.

Job Qualifications

• NYS Cosmetology 7-12 Certification or eligible for Transitional A Certification

• 3-5 years of industry experience
• Must hold Cosmetology License
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to plan and implement student learning per the established curriculum
