Job Description

POSITION:                             Summer Enrichment Principal (PT) – Central Islip

ASSIGNMENT:                      July 6, 2026 – July 31, 2026

SITE/BUILDING:                   Frances J. O'Neill Elementary School, Central Islip, NY

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises a Summer Enrichment Program with academic classes and recreational activities for students entering grades 1-6
• Observes daily operations of program staff and students to assure a safe learning environment
• Effectively communicates with staff, parents, and students of the program
• Reports to the ESBOCES Summer Enrichment Administrators and keeps them apprised of daily activities
• Oversees, distributes, and monitors supplies and equipment used in the program

Orientation:  July 1, 2026

(Orientation hours are from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)

Program runs from:  July 6, 2026 - July 31, 2026

THESE POSITIONS ARE DEPENDENT UPON STUDENT ENROLLMENT AND DISTRICT COMMITMENT FOR SUMMER SERVICES

START DATE:                       July 1, 2026

SALARY RANGE:                 $106.00/hour

Job Qualifications

• Appropriate NYS Certification required or Appropriate NYS License required
• Ability to create a welcoming and affirming environment for all stakeholders of the school community
