POSITION: Divisional Administrator for Educational Support Services
ESBOCES is seeking an experienced educational leader with strong administrative/supervisory and instructional experience, including demonstrated expertise in curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, and program development in support of teaching, learning, and student outcomes. This critical leadership position serves as a key administrator supporting Educational Support Services, Eastern Suffolk BOCES, and its 51 component districts in the development, supervision, and continuous improvement of ESS programs, and plays a central role in supporting the Director of Educational Support Services and advancing departmental initiatives.
The Divisional Administrator directly supervises ESS programs, including Arts-in-Education, Enrichment Services, Regional Summer School, School Library Services, and related support programs. This position also directly supports key internal ESBOCES initiatives, including the Mentor Program, Induction Program, CPI training, Frontline Professional Growth systems, Agency-Wide Professional Growth Opportunities and other support programs. This leader must be highly organized, efficient, and able to effectively support a fast-paced office environment with a wide range of services and responsibilities.
ASSIGNMENT: Educational Support Services located at the Instructional Support Center at Sequoya
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead, supervise, and support a diverse team of administrators and staff across Educational Support Services programs

Oversee ESS programs serving ESBOCES’s 51 component districts, including Enrichment Services, Arts-in-Education, School Library Services, and Regional Summer School

Coordinate and support internal ESBOCES initiatives, including the Mentor Program, Induction Program, CPI training, and Frontline Professional Growth systems (PLMS and EEMS)

Support the Director in the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of all ESS programs and initiatives

Provide instructional leadership through program evaluation, data review, and evidence-based decision-making

Oversee budget development, fiscal management, and resource allocation for assigned programs

Supervise, evaluate, and support staff to promote professional growth and effectiveness

Coordinate and support professional development aligned to agency and district priorities

Ensure compliance with APPR requirements, agency policies, and collective bargaining agreements

Develop and implement action plans aligned to strategic goals and departmental priorities

Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

Act on behalf of the Director in carrying out departmental responsibilities and decision-making as needed
SALARY: $171,505.00
