Job Description

Position: School Custodial Supervisor (provisional) / M-F, 9am – 5pm

 

 

Location: Operations and Maintenance / Barton Avenue Armory

 

Responsibilities:   

• Direct and supervise the work of all Chief Custodians, Head Custodians, Supervisors, Night Supervisors, and Custodial Workers
• Manage building HVAC, building controls, fire & security panels conditions, and coordinate vendor support
• Oversee compliance of agency-wide fire safety inspections, including kitchen grease exhaust and fire extinguisher maintenance and repair
• Direct, in coordination with an interview committee, the screening and selection of candidates for vacant custodial positions
• Develop diversity, equity, and inclusivity lens, and create welcoming and affirming environments for all Operations and Maintenance employees and stakeholders

 

Salary: $91,629 (per UPSEU contractual guidelines)

 

Start Date: ASAP

Job Qualifications

Eligible to be appointed by Civil Service (Must be in title or reachable on eligible list after exam)

Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License
