POSITION: Program Administrator for Professional Development
Eastern Suffolk BOCES is seeking a skilled and collaborative educational leader for the position of Program Administrator for Professional Development. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating professional learning programs and related support services that serve ESBOCES component school districts.
The Program Administrator plays a key-role in the design, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality professional development initiatives aligned with district needs, strategic priorities, and instructional best practices. The position requires strong leadership, fiscal oversight, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of educators and stakeholders.
ASSIGNMENT: Department of Educational Support Services / Professional Development Program
LOCATION: Holtsville, New York (Hybrid work opportunities may be available)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, design, coordinate, implement, and evaluate regional professional learning opportunities and in-district programs aligned with district needs, NYSED initiatives, and research-based best practices
- Manage ESBOCES programs and services, including in-district coaching networks, regional conferences, the Community School Resources Program (mental health and student support services), Curriculum Support Services, and related instructional initiatives
- Collaborate with the Director, school district administrators and NYSED to identify needs, plan services, and maintain strong regional and statewide partnerships, including support of the Curriculum Council convening district curriculum and instruction leaders
- Recruit, supervise, support, and evaluate professional development consultants, assistants, and clerical staff connected to program operations and materials
- Lead long-range program planning and goal setting focused on district priorities, NYSED initiatives, and improved student outcomes
- Develop, oversee, and adjust program budgets, ensuring responsible fiscal planning and financial management
- Create, analyze, negotiate, and manage professional service contracts for consultants and vendors
- Use evaluative data and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve programs and ensure responsiveness to the diverse needs of component school districts
- Travel is required to support district-based and regional initiatives
START DATE: August 10, 2026
SALARY: $158,375.00
