POSITION:                  Librarian (PT) - Regional Summer High School at Bay Shore 2026
 
PROGRAM SITE:        Bay Shore High School is the tentative location, dependent on contract and budget approval
 
PROGRAM DATES:    July 1, 2026 – August 19, 2026

8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Classes
July 8 - August 13
Monday to Thursday
7:20 a.m. – 11:25 a.m.
Regents Exam & Scoring
August 18, 19, 20, 21
 
7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
(30 minutes of prep may be addled to day if needed.  Additional hours require Administrative approval.)
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Will collaborate with teaching staff and support classroom instruction in all content areas offered in the Regional Summer School Program
  • Offers guided lessons with digital resources that are available in the host district’s library media center and equipment when asked to do so
  • Promotes and shares reading material and free digital resources to both students and staff alike in order for students to conduct essential research needed in their course of study

SALARY:                    $51.90/hour
Job Qualifications
  • NYS Library Media Specialist/School Media Specialist Certification required
