Job Description

POSITION:           Summer Enrichment Counselor (PT) (Bay Shore and Bayport-Blue Point)

ASSIGNMENT:    July 6, 2026 – August 14, 2026 (Bayport-Blue Point)

                             July 6, 2026 – August 14, 2026 (Bay Shore)

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reports to Summer Enrichment Director
• Provides support to classroom teachers for students entering grades 1-8
• Leads student groups in structured recreational activities

Important to note that you MUST be in attendance on the following dates:

Orientation:     June 29, 2026 (Bay Shore and Bayport-Blue Point)

Program:         July 6, 2026 – August 14, 2026 (Bay Shore  and Bayport-Blue Point)

THESE POSITIONS ARE DEPENDENT UPON STUDENT ENROLLMENT AND DISTRICT COMMITMENT FOR SUMMER SERVICES

START DATE:                June 29, 2026

SALARY RANGE:       $17.25/hour

Job Qualifications

• High School graduate
• Ability to create a welcoming and affirming environment for all stakeholders of the school community
• Ability to independently lead student groups in various enrichment activities
