Job Description

Position: Bus Transportation Specialist (provisional) / M-F, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

 

Location: Transportation / Barton Avenue Armory

                       

Responsibilities:   

• Arrange student transportation for various educational programs using specifically assigned contractors.
• Teach required NYSED bus driver training classes (SBDI Certificate required)
• Conduct biennial behind-the-wheel road tests and oral/written exams (19-A Examiner Certificate required))
• Complete on the road audits of bus routes
• Conducts basic, advanced, refresher and other specialized training programs for bus drivers
• Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position

 

Salary: $77,653 (per UPSEU contractual guidelines)

 

Start Date: 10/15/2026

Eligible to be appointed by Civil Service (Must be in title or reachable on eligible list after exam)
