ESBOCES is looking for an experienced leader who values diversity, equity and inclusion, and who has experience navigating multiple constituents, agencies and audiences to run successful programming in support of secondary and adult learners.  This critical position reports to the Divisional Administrator for Career, Technical and Adult Education, and serves as a leader within the department, agency and the region to promote the development and delivery of adult education and technical programming that align with industry standard, support lifelong learning, and ensure customer satisfaction.  The successful candidate creates a flexible schedule to support staff and students Monday through Friday, day and evening, throughout the school year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all aspects of Practical Nursing, Nurse Assisting, and NYS regulated health care programming
  • Lead and supervise adult career and technical programming
  • Establish health-related partnerships to improve student outcomes
  • Facilitate and design progressive teaching and learning opportunities
  • Actively recruit a diverse student and staff clientele to increase enrollment and broaden service
  • Support, direct, and supervise program staff to perform responsibilities related to teachers, career planning specialists, vocational advisors, and office personnel
  • Develop and expand relations with local businesses and community organizations
  • Represent agency interests as a liaison across multiple audiences and platforms
  • Effectively communicate and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
  • Manage multiple work streams, deadlines, and projects simultaneously
  • Collect, analyze, and report on data to illustrate student success and program impact; serve as a data-driven thought leader
  • Serve on a collaborative leadership that innovates and evolves programming
  • Develop and expand new health science programs and courses related to immediate and future workforce needs
  • Seek and apply for training grants and funding
  • Monitor the development and evaluation of new and existing course offerings and prepare a career pathway curriculum
