POSITION:                  Resource Specialists – 2 positions (FT, 10-month, Day)
ASSIGNMENT:            Long Island Regional Bilingual Education Resource Network (RBERN)
SITE/BUILDING:         Islip Office Center
LOCATION(S):            Long Island RBERN | ENL/Bilingual Programs
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality, research-based professional learning opportunities for teachers and other school staff on topics related to ELL education and those identified as priority by NYSED OBEWL
  • Provide technical assistance related to Commissioners Regulations, as well as both on-site and remote support to schools and districts related to program implementation, school improvement, and compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with other RBERN staff, NYSED OBEWL staff, and other state-funded networks to build strong relationships with school and district personnel.
  • Attend all required RBERN meetings which may require overnight travel outside the Long Island region.
  • Minimum ten (10) mandatory summer work days
START DATE:                                     July 1, 2026
MINIMUM STARTING SALARY:         $66,427.00* (M.A.)
*Minimum starting salary rates are established per 2025-2026 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBAs).  2026-2027 compensation rate will follow CBAs when available.
