Safety Officer - ROSH

Position: Safety Officer

           

Location: Regional Office of Safety & Health / Various Locations

                                     

Responsibilities:                          

  • Prepare and update safety and compliance plans and procedures.
  • Assist school districts with visual observations such as walk-throughs and inspections regarding fire code and building safety, UST programs, chemical inventories and hazardous waste (chemicals/disinfectants) disposal procedures.
  • Provide OSHA/PESH/NFPA compliance training generally for custodial, maintenance, science and nursing staff.
  • Be available to districts to provide support, guidance or research on safety or compliance issues that come up throughout the year.
  • Coordinate and accompany Fire Marshall, Insurance Inspectors, Playground Inspectors, DOH/DOL (PESH) Inspectors while they conduct school assessments.

Senior Account Clerk - ESS

Position: Senior Account Clerk

           

Location: Educational Support Services/Arts-in-Education / Instructional Support Center @ Sequoya

 

Responsibilities:      

  • Prepare and reconcile monthly accounts receivable, district billing, inter-program charges, and CoSer balances for all Arts-in-Education services.
  • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, purchase order changes, and budget increase requests; submit approved documentation to Accounts Payable.
  • Support program budgeting by preparing estimates, revenue projections, monthly budget reports, and year-end CoSer closeout documentation.
  • Manage district commitments, fund transfers, budget adjustments, and financial records across Access, Excel, and WinCap, maintaining accurate tracking and reconciliation.
  • Assist districts with contracts, cross-contracts, and modifications for Arts-in-Education services, including coordination with Western Suffolk and Nassau County districts.

Salary: $60,431 plus $599 title stipend (per UPSEU contractual guidelines)

EAP Supervisor

Position: Employee Assistance Program Supervisor

           

Location: Employee Assistance Program / Ronkonkoma, Commack, Hampton Bays

 

Responsibilities:                          

  • Coordinates services, reviews assessments and case management, and resolves clinical questions and concerns. Supervision is exercised over Employee Assistance Program Coordinators.
  • Coordinates response to emergency and/or crisis intervention circumstances.
  • Reviews all program paperwork, maintains statistics of program activities, prepares reports on program activities, and recommends changes.
  • Develops workshop curriculum for employees and presents workshops, seminars, and trainings.
  • The position requires evening hours.

Salary: $93,408 (per non-represented contractual guidelines)
