POSITION:                   Principal for Career and Technical Education (FT-12 month)

ESBOCES is looking for an experienced leader who values diversity, equity and inclusion, and who has experience navigating multiple constituents, agencies and audiences to run successful programming in support of all learners.  This critical position reports to the Director of the Career, Technical, and Adult Education, and serves as a leader within the department, agency and the region to promote the development and delivery of education services.

ASSIGNMENT: Department of Career, Technical, and Adult Education

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively promote diversity, equity and inclusion practices throughout the agency
  • Create, share, and model the mission and vision of the agency
  • Lead and supervise a diverse staff
  • Supervise and direct school operations in accordance with Board policies and regulations
  • Create and maintain a warm, welcoming, and affirming work environment
  • Responsible to hire a diverse staff
  • Comply with all APPR requirements and collective bargaining agreements, completing observations and evaluations
  • Provide strong collaborative leadership with an honest, transparent, and inclusive style that supports high student outcomes and educational excellence
  • Build trusting relationships with staff, students, families, businesses, industry partners, and other stakeholder groups
  • Establish and maintain a safe and secure learning environment
  • Work with component school districts and parents to develop comprehensive plans for students
  • Develop professional learning plans to grow the professional capacity for all staff
  • Maintain an active Crisis Prevention Intervention certification and provide needed training
  • Develop action plans related to Strategic Planning and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity
  • Thorough knowledge of Part 200 Regulations, graduation, and Career Education requirements
  • Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to high achievement, social-emotional, and whole child development of all students
  • Represent departmental and agency interests as a liaison across multiple audiences and platforms
  • Serve on a collaborative leadership team that innovates and evolves programming
  • Build brand recognition and market programs to increase enrollment
  • Perform data analysis to identify opportunities for growth and/or improvement of programs, personnel, student outcomes, and other related responsibilities

START DATE:              July 1, 2025

SALARY:                      $155,270.00
