ESBOCES Extended Day Enrichment Program for Suffolk County school districts.

LOCATIONS: Various

RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                                                                                     

  • Assist teachers in facilitating the homework/reading period
  • Coordinate and facilitate special activities and projects
  • Monitor students to provide adequate supervision and a safe environment in a variety of activities and recreational areas, including following health and safety guidelines outlined by the assigned district and the CDC for schools.

HOURS:  Range between 6:45 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. for the morning session and range between 2:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. for the afternoon session daily, Monday through Friday, September – June. Applicants can apply for either the morning or afternoon session depending on their availability.

Special Education Aides 2022-2023 (SpEd-SY)

Location

  • Various Eastern Suffolk BOCES locations in Suffolk County

Responsibilities

  • Care for the physical needs of students with moderate to severe disabilities including, but not limited to, students with autism, emotional disturbance, intellectual disabilities, orthopedic impairments, or multiple disabilities.
  • Work under the direct supervision of a teacher or other professional supervisor.
  • Provide assistance to students in completing assigned projects.
  • Transport and accompany student to activities and physically participate as necessary.
  • May perform various recordkeeping tasks.
