Practical Nursing Instructors (Evening) PT

ASSIGNMENT:

ESBOCES has an exciting opportunity to share your skills and experience as a Practical Nursing Instructor to support adult learners.  This position will serve on a collaborative instructional team who are focused on creating a positive and enriching learning environment.

BUILDING:                    Adult Education Center-Brentwood

RESPONSIBILITIES:                           

  • Continuously engage with myriad professional and self-improvement practices
  • Engage adult learners and conduct classroom and clinical instruction
  • Design and carry-out lesson plans that recognizes students’ abilities and learning styles
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as, excellent customer service skills
  • Provide ongoing student advertisement and academic counseling
  • Prepares test items for examination, supervises and evaluates test results
  • Maintains students records
  • Participates in the development and evaluation of program curriculum
  • Participates in the formation and implementation of the program philosophy and objectives
  • Evaluates student progress
  • Evaluates student patient care according to established criteria
  • While in a clinical setting, interprets hospital (facility) policy to students
  • Cooperates with head nurse or team leader to carry out medical orders of patients assigned to students and the development of nursing care plans
  • Cooperates with head nurse or designated personnel in selecting and planning students’ assignments
  • Orients students to clinical areas
  • Supervises and evaluates nursing care provided by the students
  • Conducts planned clinical conferences and classes
Clinical Medical Assisting Instructor - PT (Anticipated District-Based)

POSITION:                 Clinical Medical Assisting Instructor - PT (Anticipated District-Based)

                                    In-District Program

SITE/BUILDING:        Southampton, NY

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide theoretical and hands-on instructions to prepare students for the certification exams
  • Provide clinical experiences at a nursing facility as applicable

START DATE:                                   September 1, 2023

MINIMUM STARTING SALARY:      $27,550.50* (.5 positioin)
 
* Minimum starting salary rates are established per 2022-2023 Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).
 2023-2024 compensation rates will follow CBAs when available.
