POSITION:                 Assistant Principal for Career, Technical and Adult Education (FT)

ASSIGNMENT:          Department of Career, Technical and Adult Education

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively promote diversity, equity and inclusion practices throughout the agency
  • Continuously engage with a myriad of professional development and self-improvement practices
  • Assist Principal with all operations of the school building
  • Work as part of the leadership team to create a warm, welcoming, and affirming work environment
  • Conduct observations and evaluations for all staff
  • Build trusting relationships with staff, students, families, business, and industry partners and other stakeholder groups
  • Assist in resolving student disciplinary issues
  • Collaborate with Principal on needed professional development for all staff
  • Serve as a resource in curriculum, assessment, and instruction
  • Create, share, and role model the mission and vision of the agency
  • Thorough knowledge of Part 200 Regulations, graduation and Career Education requirements
  • Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to high achievement, social-emotional, and whole child development of all students
  • Support guidance, work experience and support staff to ensure all students reach programs and professional goals
  • Manage all components of industry assessment procurement, delivery, and data management
  • Actively engage in the data collection, analysis, and goal setting for the building and for the department’s Strategic Plan
  • Assist with the health and safety of the building operations
